Terms of Service

These terms cover the underlives.com website, the content hub, the API (api.underlives.com), the launcher, the Underlives game and the Underlives Discord bot (together, "the Service"). By using the Service you accept them.

Minimum age

Underlives contains adult themes and content. You must be 18 or the age of majority in your country, whichever is higher. Do not use the Service where adult content is illegal.

Fiction

Everything that happens in the game is fiction, and every character depicted is an adult. The game does not endorse any of the behaviour it portrays.

A game in development

Underlives is under active development and provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Features may change or disappear, and saves may stop being compatible. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages arising from its use.

Mods and community content

Mods are files made by third parties. You keep ownership of what you publish on the hub, and you grant us the right to host, display and distribute it through the Service. You confirm you have the right to publish it.

You may not publish:

• anything sexualising minors, or characters presented as minors;
• identifiable real people without their consent;
• illegal content, or content that infringes the rights of others (copyright, trademarks);
• malicious code, or code that bypasses the game's Lua sandbox.

We may remove any content and block any upload, without notice. We do not review every mod before it is published: you install them at your own risk.

Discord bot

The bot answers commands and posts project news (devlog, development progress). Moderation commands such as /announce are restricted to authorised members of the server. Using the bot is also subject to Discord's terms.

Prohibited use

Do not try to disrupt the Service, overload the API, manipulate votes or counters, or access data that is not meant for you.

Changes

These terms may change as the project does. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new version.
